The Bagh Silhouette

Our signature Bagh dress is an anthem to the anti-fit philosophy- a silhouette that refuses to cling, pinch, or pull. We designed this piece to be a sanctuary of fabric, cascading from a sharp V-neckline into a generous, architectural A-line flare that honors the body’s natural rhythm. By removing the constraints of traditional tailoring, we created a garment that breathes with you, allowing an effortless, unburdened lightness in every step.

The Story Behind the Name

The dress takes its name from Kate Chopin’s The Awakening, a story of a woman shedding the restrictive "garments" of social expectation to find a soul that belongs only to herself. Much like the protagonist Edna Pontellier, who sought liberation in the vastness of the sea, this dress is an invitation to loosen the ties and rediscover the freedom of taking up space.

How We Handle Exchanges

If the fit isn't quite what you expected, we are happy to assist you with an exchange or a store credit.

Timeline: We welcome exchange requests within 7 days of your order being delivered.

Condition: To be eligible, please ensure the piece remains in its original state- unworn, unwashed, and with all tags intact. We trust you’ll understand that we cannot accept items once tags are removed or if there are signs of wear.

Credit Notes: If you aren't ready to choose a replacement immediately, we will issue a Credit Note for the value of your item. It remains valid for 6 months, so you can take your time to wait for a design that truly speaks to you.

Shipping: As we don't have a large-scale logistics network, we ask our customers to arrange the return courier to our studio and bear the shipping charges.

The Exchange Process

Start a Conversation: Drop us a message on WhatsApp or email hello@chowringeebazaar.com with your Order ID.
Send it Back: Once we’ve confirmed your request, please pack the item securely and ship it to our studio address (which we’ll provide).
Finalizing: After we receive and check the garment, we’ll issue your credit note or ship your new size within 48 hours.

In the rare case that you receive a damaged item, please let us know within 24 hours of delivery so we can prioritize a replacement for you.
