Meghala Halter Dress
Softened Indigo Dabuk Fabric
Size details
Description
Meghala Halter dress is cut from softened cotton, hand block-printed in the Dabuk tradition of Rajasthan. The motif are small botanical forms, white on indigo, pressed into the cloth by hand, block by block.
The halter ties at the nape. The hem falls long and easy. The silhouette is relaxed.
The dress signifies the clouds.
Our garments are dyed using traditional natural processes and produced in small, artisanal batches. Because of this, please expect subtle variations in color and tone. These are not flaws, but rather the hallmark of a truly "one-of-a-kind" handmade piece.
Note on Indigo Dye: The color of the natural dye is dynamic.
Indigo is a living colour. It will bleed on first wash. This is not a flaw but the nature of the dye, releasing what is excess, settling into what remains.
Wash alone the first two or three times, in cold water, by hand. No soaking. No wringing. Lay flat or hang in shade.

Return and Exchange
Finding Your Perfect Fit
We want every piece you take home from Chowringee Bazaar to be one you truly cherish. Since our collections are made in mindful batches, we handle exchanges with a focus on personal care and sustainability.
A Little Help Before You Buy
Shipping back and forth creates unnecessary wastage—for the planet and for our studio’s rhythm. If you’re unsure about a size, the fall of a fabric, or how a cut might sit, please reach out to us at 7666112341.
We’d love to walk you through the measurements or text you more photos. Getting it right the first time saves you the effort of a return later.
How We Handle Exchanges
If the fit isn't quite what you expected, we are happy to assist you with an exchange or a store credit.
Timeline: We welcome exchange requests within 7 days of your order being delivered.
Condition: To be eligible, please ensure the piece remains in its original state- unworn, unwashed, and with all tags intact. We trust you’ll understand that we cannot accept items once tags are removed or if there are signs of wear.
Credit Notes: If you aren't ready to choose a replacement immediately, we will issue a Credit Note for the value of your item. It remains valid for 6 months, so you can take your time to wait for a design that truly speaks to you.
Shipping: As we don't have a large-scale logistics network, we ask our customers to arrange the return courier to our studio and bear the shipping charges.
The Exchange Process
- Start a Conversation: Drop us a message on WhatsApp or email hello@chowringeebazaar.com with your Order ID.
- Send it Back: Once we’ve confirmed your request, please pack the item securely and ship it to our studio address (which we’ll provide).
- Finalizing: After we receive and check the garment, we’ll issue your credit note or ship your new size within 48 hours.
In the rare case that you receive a damaged item, please let us know within 24 hours of delivery so we can prioritize a replacement for you.
